Itinerary

DAY 1: ROME


  • Meet your Tour Director at airport in Rome and transfer to the Rome city center.

  • You will have a brief orientation tour followed by an evening Mass at St. Maria Maggiore.

  • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Rome.

Day 2: ROME WALKING TOUR


  • Meet your Tour Director and head to the Spanish Steps to visit the beautiful Trinita’ Dei Monti Church.Continue your walking tour to the famous Trevi Fountain and toss in a coin to ensure your return to Rome! Continue to the Pantheon, one of the largest Roman temples, which was later turned into a Catholic Church. End in Navona Square where the beautiful Baroque Church was created by Borromini: Sant’Agnese in Agone.

  • Free time for lunch.

  • Continue your walking tour to Piazza Venezia which is considered “mile zero of Rome.” Here the beautiful Altare della Patria stands; it is dedicated to Victor Emanuel II who was the first Italian king. Admire the beautiful Palazzo Venezia where Mussolini declared war on the Allied Nations and where the most famous of history's dictators, Julius Caesar, fell at the hands of Brutus and the Liberators. Afterward, walk a short distance to the Colosseum by way of Via dei Fori Imperiali which was the heart of ancient Roman life.

  • Enjoy free time for leisure and shopping.

  • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Rome.

Day 3: VATICAN MUSEUM & ST. PETER’S


  • Celebrate Mass in Saint Peter’s and have time for prayer. Meet your local guide and tour the gorgeous Basilica.

  • Free time for lunch and shopping.

  • In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the Vatican Museum which includes the amazing Sistine Chapel.

  • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Rome.

Day 4: THE SAINTS AND MARY


  • Explore the most beautiful Roman Churches. Each one is an architectural treasure and is essential to every pilgrim visiting the Eternal City.

  • The first stop is Santa Maria della Vittoria to admire The Ecstasy of Teresa by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. The journey continues with The Church of Saint Susanna built over the site of a house Church in the 3rd century. Next, you will visit Sant’Andrea delle Fratte, dedicated to St. Andrew, and then onto San Lorenzo in Lucina  built in remembrance of St. Lawrence. The journey doesn’t end as you continue to San Silvestro in Capite built in the 8th century as a shrine for the relics of the saints and martyrs from the catacombs where the fragments of the head of John the Baptist still remain. Last, you will visit the Church of the Twelve Holy Apostles built for and dedicated to all the Apostles by the Franciscans and who still care for the facility today.

Day 5: THE PASSION OF CHRIST


  • Today is dedicated to the exploration of four of the most important Roman Churches in Rome. Admire many of the relics representing the suffering and the gift of Jesus to all Christians.

  • Begin with Mass at the Basilica of St. John Lateran; this is the oldest public Church in the Rome and the oldest in the Western World. Admire the Baptistery, the Lateran Cloister, and the Holy Stairs which, according to tradition, were brought from Jerusalem to Rome. These are the stairs on which Jesus Christ stepped on his way to trial during his Passion. Next, visit the Basilica of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem, consecrated in 325 to house the relics of the Passion of Jesus Christ and brought to Rome from the Holy Land.

  • Have free time for lunch and spend the afternoon exploring.

  • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Rome.

Day 6: ROME’S BAROQUE CHURCHES


  • Tour the great Baroque Churches of Rome and some of the most beautiful in Italy. During the 17th century, Rome was the protagonist of this architectural style used to raise minds and spirits towards God. Learn the language of Baroque architecture and the artists: Francesco Borromini, Giacomo della Porta, Carlo Maderno, Pietro da Cortona and more.

  • Spend the morning celebrating Mass at Santo Spirito in Sassia Church. Then walk over the Ponte Sant’ Angelo aligned with 10 angelic statues designed by Bernini and symbolic of Baroque style architecture. Continue with visits to San Giovanni de Fiorentini,  the resting place of Francesco Borromini, Chiesa Nuova, and Saint Agnese in Agone. Walk to Santa Maria Sopra Minerva where you will admire masterpieces such as Cristo della Minerva by Michelangelo and the tomb of St. Catherine of Siena.
    Lastly, visit San Ignazio di Loyola and Chiesa del Santissimo Nome di Gesu.’ These represent the two most architecturally influential Jesuit Churches in the world.

  • Free time for lunch and an afternoon at leisure.

  • In the evening, you will celebrate a wonderful trip with a Farewell Dinner in a typical Roman restaurant while enjoying a traditional live music concert.

  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Rome.

Day 7: DEPARTURE


  • Check out and transfer to the airport for your departure.
