Itinerary
DAY 1: ROME
Welcome to the Eternal City!
Meet your tour director at the airport and transfer to your centrally located hotel for check-in and have some time to freshen up. Afterward, depart on the private coach/car for an orientation tour of Rome. Stop for some leisure, and then enjoy free time for shopping and strolling.
Dinner and overnight in Rome.
DAY 2: ROME
Depart from the hotel with the local guide to visit the Vatican Museums and the largest basilica in the world: St. Peter’s.
Following lunch, you will continue your historic journey by exploring the Colosseum and the Roman Forum; this was the political and social district of Ancient Rome.
Afterward, return to the hotel after some free time for shopping and strolling.
Cap off the evening with a great dinner in a Caffe’ Concerto where two tenors will sing traditional Italian and Roman songs!

DAY 3: ROME-POMPEII-SORRENTO
Check- out and depart for the South of Italy. Explore one of the most beautiful regions still rich in traditions: Campania.
Following a beautiful drive, you will reach Naples and embark on a sightseeing tour and panoramic stop on top of Posillipo. This is the highest of all of the Neapolitan neighborhoods.
Next, continue to the World Heritage Site of Pompeii. Due to ash and pumice from the dangerous and still active Mount Vesuvius, this ancient Roman town was buried centuries ago. Explore and then enjoy free time for lunch followed by a guided tour of the excavation sites.
Next, you will depart for the hotel located near the beautiful town of Sorrento. Enjoy the drive along the coastline which overlooks the Gulf of Naples.

DAY 4: ISLE OF CAPRI
Take a hydrofoil boat to the Island of Capri. Begin your adventure with a boat excursion to admire the beautiful scenery surrounding the island, including the Faraglioni!
Meet your local guide and drive to Anacapri, which is the highest point of Capri, and enjoy the breath-taking view of the gorgeous Mt. Vesuvius, Isle of Ischia, The Bay of Salerno and The Bay of Naples.
Free time for lunch and then continue to Capri for a walking tour which includes highlights such as the popular Piazzetta, Via Vittorio Emanuele, and Augustus Gardens.
Dinner and overnight stay near Sorrento.
DAY 5: SORRENTO-ASSISI
Check-out of your hotel, but before leaving Campania and saying goodbye to this marvelous region, delight in a fresh mozzarella tasting experience at a local farm.
Then journey to Umbria which is the “green heart” of Italy and one of the smallest and most spiritual regions.
In the afternoon, you will arrive in Assisi which is the hometown of St. Francis-the Italian Patron Saint. Take a walking tour of the city with a local guide.

DAY 6: ASSISI-BOLOGNA-VENICE
Check- out and venture to Venice, the city of the water, and northern Italy.
Along the way, stop in Bologna. This is the capital city of the Emilia Romagna Region and the home of luxury car makers: Lamborghini and Ferrari. However, it also boasts great wine, balsamic vinegar, Parmesan Cheese and hand-made pasta. In addition, take some free time to explore the city center with your tour director. Why not taste a delicious dish of lasagna in one of the many small restaurants or grab a sandwich in the central market?

DAY 7: VENICE
Journey to the port for your transfer to St. Mark’s Square.
With a local guide, you will enjoy a beautiful walking tour of Venice. As a result, every year this romantic town attracts more than 50 thousand visitors. Doges Palace, St. Mark’s Basilica, and Rialto Bridge are only a few of the many highlights that you will be able to admire.
After some free time to enjoy lunch, take a private boat on a beautiful panoramic tour of the Venice Lagoon. Finally, you will reach Murano Island which is famous worldwide for the production of artistic glass. You will visit one of the oldest glass factories in the world and watch a fascinating glass blowing demonstration.

DAY 8: VENICE-VERONA-MILAN-LAKE MAGGIORE
Check-out and make your way to Verona; this is the city that inspired William Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet. Once you arrive, enjoy an orientation tour of the city, and then explore it on your own. Why not take pictures and promise eternal love to one another under Juliet’s balcony?
After free time for lunch, depart for Milan which is the financial and fashion district of Italy. It is also one of the most artistic Italian cities. A local guide will take you to La Scala, the Italian opera house, and through the famous Gallery which is considered one of the oldest shopping malls in the world. Next, the tour will continue with the famous Gothic-style Cathedral: Duomo diMilano. Finally, you will have time for shopping or for a delicious “aperitivo.” However, do not forget to try a refreshing Martini!
Depart for Lake Maggiore
Dinner and overnight in the Lake Maggiore area.
DAY 9: BORROMEAN ISLANDS-LAKE OF COMO
Depart on a private boat headed to the Borromean Islands. This 16th century property is owned by the Borromeo family, one of the richest and the most powerful aristocracies of Italy. Next, take a guided tour of their property and palace on Isola Bella followed by a sightseeing tour of Isola Madre and Pescatori.
Head to the enchanting town of Como overlooking Lake Como. Here you will have time for lunch in one of the many local restaurants and a chance to relax amidst the natural beauty of the lake.

DAY 10: PISA-FLORENCE
Check- out and depart for Tuscany; this is the cultural and historic heart of Italy.
Make a stop in Pisa which is famous worldwide for the Leaning Tower and the incredible Miracles Square. Pisa is also one of the most important university towns of Italy. Enjoy free time for lunch and exploring the city.
Dinner and overnight in the Florence area.
Day 11: FLORENCE
Meet your local guide for a walking tour of the city. You will be fascinated by the numerous monuments including Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza della Signoria,the Baptistery, the Ponte Vecchio, the famous David by Michelangelo and more!
At the end of the tour, you will visit the oldest leather factory in the city and discover the secrets and origins of this traditional Florentine art.
Free time for lunch and shopping.

Day 12: SAN GIMIGNANO-ROME
Check-out and depart on a beautiful sightseeing tour through the Chianti Valley. Discover the magic of this region and its delectable wine!
Visit San Gimignano, a small fortified medieval town extraordinarily preserved. Also, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the beauty of the cathedral: La Collegiata. Naturally, the many tower houses and narrow streets situated together create a breathtaking skyline!
Last, you will stop in a traditional farmhouse for a wine and Tuscan meat tasting and a choice of Tuscan-style pasta and desserts!

Day 13: DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport in the morning but not before planning another trip to Italy!
