Itinerary

DAY 1: MILAN


  • Benvenuti in Italia!

  • Meet your tour director at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Accordingly, you will have some time to freshen up.

  • Next, depart on the private coach for a sightseeing tour of Milan.

  • Then stop for some leisure and free time for shopping.

  • Dinner and overnight in Milan.

DAY 2: CINQUE TERRE


  • Check-out and depart for La Spezia to begin your discovery of Cinque Terre; these are five breathtaking villages located along the rugged coastline of the Liguria Region. As a result of the spectacular landscape and sea views, Cinque Terre was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997; it is visited by millions of tourists every year.

  • Dinner and overnight in Florence area.

DAY 3: FLORENCE


  • Depart for Florence which is one of the most important cultural and art-inspired cities of Italy. Here Dante Alighieri invented the Italian language and Michelangelo sculpted his David. In fact, many of the most important Italian artists lived and created their masterpieces in the open-air museum that is Florence. After arriving, meet your local guide for a beautiful walking tour followed by free time for lunch and shopping.

  • Dinner and overnight in the Florence area.

DAY 4: PISA-LUCCA


  • After breakfast, depart for Pisa which is famous worldwide for the Leaning Tower and for the magical Miracles Square. Here stands one of the largest Baptisteries in the world. Enjoy free time for lunch and shopping.

  • Next, you will travel to Lucca. This typical Italian town has been well preserved for over 1500 years. Giacomo Puccini, one of the greatest Italian opera composers, was born in this beautiful town; it is considered the City of the Music. Throughout the year, many music festivals take place in Lucca. You will enjoy a guided tour through the historic town and some free time for meandering.

  • Dinner and overnight in the Florence area.

DAY 5 – SIENA-SAN GIMIGNANO


  • Travel to Siena popular for the annual Palio horse race where neighborhoods compete against one another for bragging rights. Siena is home to the Monte dei Paschi di Siena which is the oldest bank in the world! Enjoy a guided tour through the cobblestone streets and then relax in the large, medieval Piazza del Campo. Spend some free time climbing the steps to the top of the Torre del Mangia, shopping, or simply people-watching.

  • Next, journey to San Gimignano. This breathtaking town nicknamed the city of the “fine towers” because of the many tower houses and incredible skyline on the Chianti Hills is located on a hilltop and is one of the most well-preserved medieval towns in Tuscany. Surrounded by such beauty, you will feel like you are in a scene from Under the Tuscan Sun.

  • Lastly, don't miss a fantastic wine and meat tasting on a traditional farm; here you will discover the secrets of the oldest and most delectable Italian wine: the Chianti!

  • Dinner and overnight in the Florence area.

DAY 6: CARRARA-MILAN


  • Check- out and journey to Carrara to visit the most important marble quarries in the world! The local guide will explain the many methods used for extracting this important and expensive rock. Additionally, you will enjoy fantastic views on the Italian Alps mountain chain.

  • After the quarry visit, have a taste of the most popular Italian bacon produced in this area.

  • Free time for shopping.

  • Dinner and overnight in Milan.

DAY 7: MILAN


  • Enjoy a walking tour of Milan with your local guide. You will admire the gorgeous Sforza Castle built in the 15th century by the Duke of Milan. For centuries, this structure stood as the largest citadel in Europe. Next, walk through the business neighborhood and arrive in front of La Scala, the most important opera house in Italy, and tour the famous Gallery which is considered one of the oldest shopping malls in the world. The tour will continue to the largest Gothic style cathedrals in Italy: Duomo di Milano.

  • You will finish the visit downtown where you will have free time for lunch, shopping or eating a delicious “aperitivo.” Do not forget to try a refreshing Martini!

  • Dinner and overnight in Milan.

DAY 8: DEPARTURE


  • After breakfast, transfer to the airport in Milan for departure home.
