Itinerary
DAY 1: ROME
Benvenuti a Roma! Meet your tour director and then transfer to the hotel.
In the afternoon, you will depart for an orientation tour of the city.
Dinner and overnight stay in Rome.
DAY 2: VATICAN MUSEUMS & ST.PETER'S
Depart for the Vatican Museums and meet a local guide; begin the tour through the world-famous Vatican Galleries, the spectacular Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica.
Have free time for lunch near Vatican City- the world’s smallest country.
Then explore elegant St. Peter’s Square and the magnificent St. Peter’s Basilica where you will ascend the stairs to The Cupola for panoramic views of The Eternal City!
Dinner and overnight stay in Rome.
DAY 3: ANCIENT ROME
Visit the extraordinary Capitoline Museums which contain archeological treasures collected from medieval, ancient Roman and Renaissance periods.
Have free time for lunch and then take a step back into Ancient Rome with a guidedtour of the Palatine Hill, the Colosseum and the beautiful Roman Forum.
Finish your day by tossing a coin in the popular Trevi Fountain and spending some free time shopping near the Spanish Steps and Via del Corso.
Dinner and overnight stay in Rome.
DAY 4: ROME-SORRENTO
Check-out and travel from Rome to the Campania Region.
Head South to the beautiful city of Sorrento and stop on the way for a lunch break.
Once in Sorrento, visit the world-famous local artisanal artists’ inlaid wood factory. Following the demonstration, you will visit a typical Sorrentine flea market for some shopping and leisure.
Overnight stay in the Sorrento area.
DAY 5: ISLE OF CAPRI
Take a hydrofoil boat to the Island of Capri. Begin your adventure with a boat excursion to admire the beautiful scenery surrounding the island, including the Faraglioni!
Meet your local guide and drive to Anacapri, which is the highest point of Capri, and enjoy the breath-taking view of the gorgeous Mt. Vesuvius, Isle of Ischia, The Bay of Salerno and The Bay of Naples.
Free time for lunch and then continue to Capri for a walking tour which includes highlights such as the popular Piazzetta, Via Vittorio Emanuele and Augustus Gardens.
Dinner and overnight stay in Sorrento area.
DAY 6: MT. VESUVIUS-POMPEII-PIZZA COOKING CLASS
Make your way to the famous Mt. Vesuvius where you will climbthe volcano to the mouth of the crater.
Travel to Pompeii- the famous archeological site where artifacts from the once-thriving ancient Roman city once stood before it was destroyed by Vesuvius’ eruption in 79 A.D.
Take a pizza cooking class and then enjoy your culinary creation for lunch.
Meet your local guide to visit the Pompeii excavations.
Dinner and overnight stay in the Sorrento area.
DAY 7: NAPLES
Drive to Naples for a sightseeing tour and a panoramic photo on top of Posillipo which is the highest neighborhood of the city.
Free time for lunch. Meet your local guide to visit the Archeological Museum of Naples, one of the largest of its kind in the world, where you will discover a grand collection of Roman antiquities. The rest of the day is free to enjoy shopping and exploring with your Tour Director.
Dinner and overnight stay in the Sorrento area.
DAY 8: AMALFI COAST
Take a beautiful excursion along the Amalfi Coast to picturesque towns like Positano and Amalfi.
Travel to Amalfi and admire the beautiful coastline where the villas of Sofia Loren, Bill Gates and some of the most famous Italian actors and politicians are located!
Spend some time on the beach and free time for lunch and shopping.
Enjoy a farewell dinner before packing and retiring to your room for your last night in Italy.
